HY↯RA
Volvo Mobility Platform
A white-label mobility platform enabling Volvo dealerships to offer short-term rental and long-term subscription services — designed for both web and mobile.
Flexible mobility, beautifully designed
HYRA is a white-label platform built by KMS Mobility Solutions that empowers automotive brands to launch branded rental and subscription services. This instance was tailored for Volvo dealers in Germany, offering customers a seamless way to rent an electric Volvo for a day — or subscribe to one for up to two years.
Automotive dealerships needed a modern, digital-first way to offer flexible vehicle access without the friction of traditional leasing processes. The experience had to work across desktop and mobile with zero learning curve.
Designed a dual-mode booking system (MIETE & ABO) sharing a unified design language. The platform adapts to each OEM’s brand identity through a white-label theming system — HYRA for Volvo uses a teal-green accent and premium typographic hierarchy.
A fully responsive platform covering search, vehicle detail, multi-step checkout, and account management — deployable across multiple Volvo dealerships. Both rental and subscription flows share a consistent, branded experience.
Web Platform
The desktop web experience is built around a clean search-first homepage and an intuitive multi-step booking flow — covering everything from finding a vehicle to confirming payment.
Homepage — MIETE & ABO
The landing page leads with a bold headline and a MIETE/ABO toggle — immediately communicating the two product modes. An inline search bar with location, vehicle type, and date fields reduces friction before users even start browsing.
Vehicle Catalogue — Subscription View
A persistent filter sidebar lets users narrow by station, brand, model, subscription period, and price range. Cards display vehicle photo, quick specs, and a clear „from X €/Month“ price — making comparison effortless across the full Volvo lineup.
Vehicle Detail Page
Full configuration panel on the right: choose contract duration (3/6/12 months), flex option, included km, colour, and drive specs. A sticky price summary and „Book Now“ CTA close the decision loop without scrolling.
Checkout — Contact & Extras
A 4-step checkout flow for rental covers station selection, vehicle pick, options & extras (insurance, km package, additional driver), and final payment. A persistent order summary on the right keeps context anchored throughout.
My Bookings — Account Dashboard
Users can view all active and past rentals and subscriptions in a unified card grid. Each card surfaces the booking type (MIETE / ABO), vehicle, dates, and dealer — with filter controls to focus the view.
Designed for the Journey
The mobile experience is a full progressive web app — built around a bottom-tab navigation and a streamlined search-to-booking flow optimised for one-handed use.

Design Process & Responsibilities
As the product designer on this project at KMS Mobility Solutions, I owned the end-to-end UX and UI design for the HYRA Volvo platform — from initial flows to production-ready prototypes.
Discovery & UX Strategy
Mapped user journeys for both rental and subscription modes. Identified key decision points (mode selection, vehicle configuration, payment) and designed flows that minimise steps while surfacing the right information at each stage.
White-Label Design System
Adapted the KMS mobility design system to HYRA’s Volvo branding: teal-green accent palette, premium typographic scale, and component variants for the MIETE/ABO dual-mode context — all token-based for rapid re-theming.
Responsive Prototyping
Designed full fidelity prototypes in Figma covering desktop web, tablet breakpoints, and mobile PWA. Validated multi-step checkout flows with internal stakeholders and iterated based on usability findings.
Developer Handoff
Produced annotated specs, component documentation, and interactive prototypes for the engineering team. Supported implementation QA to ensure pixel-accurate delivery across all breakpoints.
